El día amanecía tranquilo mientras en Madrid Horse Week, jinetes y caballos se preparaban para dar fin a unas jornadas muy intensas y rebosantes de la equitación del más alto nivel. En un día en que el protagonista indiscutible es la Copa del Mundo de Salto, Trofeo LONGINES – MUTUA MADRILEÑA, se calentaban motores con la prueba pequeña del CSI5*, Trofeo COCA-COLA. Esta prueba, con una altura de 1,45m se disputaba bajo el baremo A con cronómetro.
Maikel van der Vleuten con VDL Groep Quatro, binomio ganador del CSI5* Trofeo Estrella Damm disputado ayer, se volvía a coronar como campeón en un tiempo de 48.34 segundos. Este ha sido un fin de semana muy bueno para el holandés, ya que el viernes también se subía al podio, quedando segundo en la prueba pequeña del CSI5* Trofeo MITSUBISHI. Segundo era el alemán David Will, que se quedaba a pocas centésimas de superar al holandés, montando a Mic Mac du Tillard. Su compatriota Marcus Ehning se quedaba con el tercer puesto, en un tiempo de 49,02 segundos.
El mejor español de la prueba ha sido Pilar Lucrecia Cordón, montando a Armani Des Maraichers , que terminaba la número 17 de la clasificación.
Después del descanso podremos disfrutar de la Copa del Mundo de Salto, en la que competirá todo el equipo español además del joven Gonzalo Añón, programada para empezar a las 13:00.
