Luis Álvarez Cervera es, probablemente, la mayor referencia de la hípica española. Ha siete veces olímpico, ha conseguido 18 medallas en Campeonatos de España de Salto y Concurso Completo, siendo 10 de ellas de oro, ha sido finalista en campeonatos del Mundo, ha sido miembro del equipo Español en más de 90 Copa de Naciones… Por ello, MHW ha querido rendirle un homenaje y lo ha hecho entre la primera manga y la segunda de la Copa del Mundo. Luis ha comentado que este premio supone para él un gran motivo de orgullo, por ser en el ámbito de un evento hípico de la máxima categoría deportiva. La grada le ha dedicado una fortísima ovación.
Madrid Horse Week ha bajado el talón hasta el año que viene con un segunda edición muy multicultural, con un total de 25 países representados. 40.000 personas han asistido al mayor evento ecuestre de Madrid que, por primera vez, acogía una Copa del Mundo.
