Madrid, 30 Noviembre 2014. De los 40 binomios que han tomado parte en la Copa del Mundo, 11 pasaron al desempate diseñado por el español Javier Trenor. El jinete colombiano Carlos López y “Prince de la Mare” pararon el crono del desempate en 38,69 segundos, colocándolos al frente de la clasificación prácticamente desde el principio. En la rueda de prensa posterior, comentaba que esta muy contento de ganar esta Copa del Mundo pues, después de dejar Colombia estando al máximo nivel, le ha costado mucho volver ya que el deporte ha evolucionado mucho.
Edwina Tops-Alexander y “Lintea Tequila” estuvieron muy cerca, pues apenas 11 centésimas les han alejado de la victoria. Tercero fue el franés Alexandre Fontanelle y su 11 años “Prime Time des Vagues”.
Los jinetes españoles Sergio Álvarez y Pilar Cordón hacían 0 en la primera manga, pero un derribo en la segunda manga les ha llevado a la sexta y novena posición. Una lástima pues el tiempo del asturiano era el mejor de todos. Eduardo Álvarez Aznar se quedó a las puertas del desempate al penalizar un punto por exceso de tiempo con “Rockefeller de Pleville Bois Mar”.[:en]

Madrid, November 30th 2014. Of the 40 pairs competing in the Worl Cup, 11 of them reached the jump off desgined by the Spanish Javier Trenor. The Colombian Carlos López and “Prince de la Mare” stopped the clock in 38.69s, leading the ranking list almost since the beginning. In the press conference held after the show, he mentioned that he was very happy of winning this World Cup, because after leaving Colombia being one of the leaders he had a hard work to continue at the top level when he arrived to Europe because of its huge development.
